The Media & Entertainment Association of India (MEAI) was established to advance and promote the Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry within India. Its mission is to support the growth and global recognition of Indian media and entertainment ventures, encompassing a wide range of sectors within the industry.

MEAI serves as a representative body for the M&E industry across India, boasting a membership of over 3,300 members and associates. These include media houses, animation and VFX companies, video-on-demand (VOD) and over-the-top (OTT) platforms, app developers, gaming companies, journalists, educational institutions, new media companies, and other related organizations. This diverse membership reflects the dynamic and multifaceted nature of the industry.

One of MEAI’s core functions is to facilitate networking opportunities for its members. It does this by organizing delegations and B2B meetings, providing a platform for industry professionals to connect, share insights, and explore potential collaborations. Additionally, MEAI offers marketing support to Indian intellectual property (IP) promoters and developers, helping them to showcase their projects and products both domestically and internationally. By doing so, MEAI plays a crucial role in promoting Indian M&E content and services, ensuring they receive the visibility and recognition they deserve on the global stage.
